Nyepi is the Balinese ‘Day of silence’ that is commemorated every new year according to the Balinese calendar.

This year the Hindu celebration, mainly celebrated in Bali, falls on the 25th of March. Nyepi, a public holiday in Indonesia, is a day of silence, fasting and meditation for the Balinese. Observed from 6 am until 6 am the next morning. Officially no work should be done, lights and electrical instruments should not be switched on and everyone must remain in the boundaries of their home. No planes land at the airport or even fly over the island. It is kind of a cleansing process, an opportunity to look inside and be still in preparation for the year ahead.

The scale and destructiveness of the Australian bushfires almost defies comprehension. Recovery will be a long-drawn-out process. Australia has long been one of Karma Group's 'home bases' and as such we want to do as much as we can to assist.

We still have a way to go to reach our AUD$25,000 goal…

So we're inviting all of our family, friends and followers to take part in our charity raffle - not only will your donation go towards the amazing work of the Australian Red Cross but if you donate US$25 or more, you'll automatically be in the running to win a 4-night stay at our flagship luxury resort in Bali, Karma Kandara! Additionally, Karma Group members who donate US$25 or more could win either 2 nights at Karma Sanctum Soho in London or 7 Nights at Karma Mayura in Ubud, Bali.

• What details should I always include in my correspondence to enable Member Services?
In order for us to answer your queries in the most effective and timely manner, please always include your member number when sending emails through to us. Please also ensure that your contact details are correct to avoid any delays.

• How do I get the best value out of my membership?
As a Karma Odyssey Member, you have lots of great value holiday booking options available to you depending on your membership type:

Entitlement Bookings offer members great value holidays, especially during peak periods when the usage of Club inventory is prioritized for member entitlement reservations.

Hot Deals which are reviewed and updated on the 15th of each month are special discounted offers available for travel within 3 - 6 months. Deals are valid for 4 to 7 Night stays and feature different inclusions aimed at providing the best value for our members PLUS you may combine Hot Deals with Entitlement Bookings for longer stays!

Preferred Member Rates offer members the opportunity to book paid stays during off-peak periods in Club inventory up to 6 months in advance. In addition, allow members to be able to combine these stays with Entitlement Bookings, these bookings can also be gifted to friends & family.

Exclusive Offers enable members the opportunity to book paid stays in Club inventory 6 - 12 months in advance and special Member Discounted Rates in non-Club Group inventory. These offers generally include all Tax & Service related fees as well as a diverse range of inclusions.

We always welcome feedback from our valued members as to what kind of inclusions they would like to see on offer!

• How do I find things to do around the resorts?
Your first stop should be our website, with each resort profile featuring great information on the areas surrounding the resorts. Our Navigators are also travel enthusiasts and can offer some great insight into making the most of each destination as well as. We also post regular updates and holiday inspiration on each of the resort Facebook pages so make sure to check them out when planning your next adventure!
